Our Team - Dr Matthew Lowis - Dentist Earlsfield

Dr Mat Lowis BDS, PGcert (Owner and Principal Dentist)

Dr Mat Lowis is the principal dentist at Earlsfield Dental Studios. He qualified in 1995 with a BDS from the highly regarded Charles Clifford Dental Hospital.

After working in the NHS for 5 years until 2001, he decided to become a private practitioner in order to provide the highest quality work to all his patients.

He has now been living and working in South West London since then. He has been providing high quality care to his patients in Wandsworth Common and Clapham, on Battersea Rise for 17 years.

Dr Lowis is dedicated to further education and is constantly improving his education and carries out extensive hours of CPD (continued professional development).

In 2002 he completed his Certificate in Restorative Dentistry. Dr Lowis was recently awarded a PGcert in Aesthetic Dentistry after completing the year long course.

He has been amalgam free for 10 years and uses composite resin (white fillings) and has placed thousands during his career.

He also has a particular interest in root canal therapy and composite bonding. Minimal intervention is key to his philosophy.

Dr Lowis applies minimal intervention to his aesthetic practice also where appropriate. In many cases ‘bonding’ or tooth coloured composite resin can be place to reshape teeth to improve their appearance or close gaps.

He has been providing patients with Invisalign for many years and is a Platinum provider.

A combination of these techniques can give beautiful smiles with minimal intervention.

Away from Dentistry Dr Lowis is a keen golfer, cyclist and an ex snowboarder.

Dr Salma Daou (BDS)

Salma qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Dundee in 2014 before going on to work in Edinburgh, Sydney and London. She has a particular interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry with a focus on preventative and minimally invasive practice.

Salma continually strives to further her education in order to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practices, she has completed a yearlong Advanced Cosmetic & Aesthetic Restorative course, as well as further training in Digital Smile Design and minimal preparation veneers. She is an accredited and experienced Invisalign provider and has completed a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Clear Aligner Orthodontics.

She has been complimented on her gentle chair-side manner and happily welcomes nervous patients, always taking the time to understand their anxieties and expectations before building a custom treatment plan to suit their needs and requirements.

Salma serves on the Board of the British Association of Private Dentistry and is passionate about ensuring patients all over the UK have access to high quality dental care. She is also an active committee member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Outside of the dentistry she enjoys cycling, skiing and travel.

Kasia Velaj (Treatment Coordinator)

Kasia has been with Earlsfield Dental Studios since we opened! She is highly experienced within dentistry and has a BSC in Biological Science and a Diploma in dental nursing and a Diploma in treatment coordination.

Kasia is our treatment coordinator and will liaise with you during your treatment with us to ensure our communication with you is excellent and that your journey with us is as smooth as possible.

Kasia has worked in some of London’s best known practices and you can be assured you will be taken care of both during and after your treatment.

Away from Dentistry, She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time her beautiful daughter Isabelle!
